Thank you, NETFLIX!

I'm a nerd, a philosopher, an explorer, a foodie, a filmie, a west coast boy turned Brooklynite, a small town country boy turned urbanite, a classic Gemini, a designer, an artist, I try to be kind to mother earth because she kind to me and a cat lover amongst other things. I guess if I had to define it in a few words I would have to say that I’m a collector of experiences.
When I look back on the last 30 years of my life, I would have to say that my experiences are the biggest definer in who I am, I’ve seen many things, known many people and lived in many places that have all left little bits and pieces behind in my psyche that have help developed who I am, not only as a person but as a designer.
When I was in school, an instructor of mine told me that if you didn’t learn something from every project that you work on, your not trying hard enough. This work philosophy has sorta seeped its way into a life philosophy of mine since that moment. I try to learn something from everything I do and 50 years from now when I’m old and grey... well bald probably; I hope I’m still experiencing new things and learning from them.

EXPERIENCE
Over the last 4 years or so I’ve meant some very nice people and companies that agreed to pay me money in return for my ideas and services. These people and companies are, but not limited to:
3rd Edge Communications, starting as a Junior Designer, this is where I began learning the ropes of agency life and over a three year span I worked my way up to Senior Designer, where I was responsible for many things including the conception and execution of design solutions to their completion. They even trusted me enough to mentor and art direct the junior designers that were on staff... Awesome!
I also have gathered a collection of freelance gigs over the years where I learned many things about being a designer both from the creative end and the business end. Some of my past clients have been LucasArts where I had the joy of working projects for two of my childhood obsessions; StarWars and Indiana Jones; Jeff Fassnacht Design where I worked on projects for Actual Films, O’Reilly Publishing and Breakthrough Collaborative, amongst others. Some of my independent clients include Highlife Music, RGH Lighting, Scheimpflug Digital and Element Tattoo.
When I'm not working on client work, I’m usually working on the development of 00one, the very site that you at! I hope you are liking it. This is a site where I showcase my portfolio as well as sell my personal creative work which include prints and paintings.
EDUCATION
I have an AA from the Art Institute of Seattle and a BFA from the Academy of Art San Francisco... and I have the bills to prove it!
TECHNICAL ABILITIES
I have production experience in both the real world and the digital world. In the real world, I know how to screen print and letterpress. I'm am also knowledgeable in the ways of bookmaking which help make my comping skills pretty top-notch when I have the right tools. In the digital world, I have knowledge in many programs, to varying degrees, that help me execute my ideas, these programs include, of course, the Adobe Suite. Particularly Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. I have some experience in Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS. I have also have some light animation experience in Flash. Anything else I may need, I am willing and able to learn, because learning is cool.
I’m pretty good at grilling things too.
... and of course my MAC is my friend!
This is the where I tell you a little bit about my self. It's not not my memoirs by any means but it's a good start. If you want to now more about me... well, you'll just have to ask.
